If you ask me cold calling trap of online business is about the worst possible way to spend a day of work that I can think of. There are many business opportunities online based on acquiring their leads this way. I cannot imagine how they manage to retain any marketing people if this is how they expect to get customers. If you are anything like me, you probably can not stand to get a phone call from someone you do not know trying to sell you something you do not want in the middle of your family having dinner, or just as you are running out of the door for an appointment. I would bet that people who make cold calls are one of the most abused groups of people there is. Lets face it that has got to be a thankless job. Plus you are just trading time for money and we all know that you cannot get ahead of the rate race when you only trade time for money.
I tried cold calling leads as my main lead follow up system and I will tell you it was not pleasant. First of all the leads never wanted to talk to you and sometimes would even hang up when you told them who you were and why you were calling. Others would tell me they were not interested even though they had clicked on something on the internet asking for information. I guess we have all done that from time to time and then by the time someone calls you back you have lost your interest. The other obstacle is that it seemed like more than 80% of them were never home. I had some leads I had been chasing for weeks. I left them messages, sent emails and called time and time again and still would never reach them and getting them to call you back was asking the impossible. The bottom line is cold callingtrap of online business is difficult to do and I never want to have to do it again. I found it completely unproductive.
The internet is a fabulous tool for making money but it should be working for you while you are sleeping, spending time with your family or any other activity you may be up to. If your internet business requires that you spend long hour's cold calling your customer and chasing leads I suggest you find a new way to make money online. This is the beauty of the internet. Any potential customer can access the internet at any time day or night so if you have the right tools in place on the net it is working for you 24-7. What you really want to establish is a system that sends the customers to you. Customers who are asking to do business with you. Can you imagine how different the conversation is with a customer when they are contacting you for more information or even better yet, are sending you money to receive more information? With a system like this you can spend your time productively and enjoy it. Make the time to research and find out about online business opportunities that do not include the cold calling trap of online business and chasing leads. There are systems out there that do the weeding out for you separating the good leads from the worthless, saving you time and money.
